Launched on February 5, 2025, the first “Offline Meetup” provided participants with an evening out of time. Phones were locked away in a phone cage for the entire experience, making room for board games, coloring, art therapy, and deep conversations. Far from the endless notifications, everyone had the opportunity to enjoy genuine moments of connection, rediscovering the joy of face-to-face interactions.

“Our screens have taken up too much space in our lives. It’s time to take a break, reconnect with the real world, and rediscover the pleasure of true exchanges,” explain the founders of Offline Society.

A Response to an Urgent Need

Like many other places, screen addiction is affecting more and more people in Morocco, impacting our mental and social well-being. Offline Society is positioning itself as a concrete response to this phenomenon. With a variety of activities such as journaling, crochet, meditation, and digital detox retreats over the weekend, the movement aims to create wellness bubbles far away from screens.
